International session on the Silk Roads held in the ECOI

The fourth academic session of the United Students of the Silk-Road Universities Network (USSUN) was held on Sunday, 19 January 2020 on the ECO College of Insurance.
Following the series of academic sessions held within the framework of the Silk Road Universities Network (SUN), the 4th scientific session of the United Students of the Silk-Road Universities Network (USSUN) was held on 19 January 2020 in the ECO College of Insurance, Allameh Tabataba’i University.
Entitled as the “Historic Cities of Iran along the Silk Roads,” the session hosted distinguished Iranian and international professors and students from Turkey, Uzbekistan, and Afghanistan.
The session started with Mr Mohammad Rasouli, Periodical USSUN President, briefly introducing the meetings held by the SUN and their cultural goals. Then, he introduced Dr Bahram Amir Ahmadian as the speaker of the session.
At the two-hour session, Dr Amir Ahmadian, Visiting Lecturer at the Faculty of World Studies, University of Tehran, and the ECO College of Insurance, Allameh Tabataba"i University introduced the historical role played by Iran in shaping the commercial, cultural, economic and political exchanges along the Silk Roads. In his speech, he then pointed to important cities of Iran and mentioned the characteristics of travelling along the Silk Roads. The meeting then was concluded with a Q&A session.
This series of sessions, which hosted by the secretariat with the aim of introducing the historic cities of ten countries along the Silk Roads, will continue on a monthly basis.
